This is a big question. Ultimately, the advice we give can be summarized as eat real food. We help clients fill their plates with nutrient-dense, whole foods. Individualizations are made to support your specific health conditions such as GI issues, hormonal imbalances, stage of life, etc.
We also believe food is inherently emotional. We never expect our clients to view food solely as fuel because we don’t view food solely as fuel. Food is ingrained in the ways we mourn, celebrate, connect, and more. We help clients find the balance without relying on food as the primary way of regulating emotions.
Lastly, we whole-heartedly believe it’s impossible for us to know anything about your physical health just by looking at your body size. Weight is such a poor indicator of health. Instead, we help you assess your health based on how you feel along with evidence-based ways of measuring health.

While the terms are often used interchangeably, registered dietitians (RDs) are licensed healthcare professionals who have completed accredited education, supervised training, and national board exams. “Nutritionist” is a more general term that isn’t regulated in many states. Our team is made up entirely of registered dietitians — we sometimes use the term “nutritionist” simply because it’s the word most people recognize when looking for nutrition support.
